IPL 2024, CSK vs GT Impact players: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Gujarat Titans (GT) will be facing each other in a mouth-watering clash on Tuesday (March 26). The CSK vs GT match is scheduled to be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
It will be the first meeting between the two teams since CSK beat GT in the IPL 2023 final to win the title for the fifth time. Both teams will be looking to extend their winning start in IPL 2024. CSK began their campaign with a convincing six-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the very first game of the tournament.
The reigning champions had RCB reeling at 78 for 5 at one stage before the Bengaluru-based outfit managed to post a competitive total of 173. However, CSK faced little difficulty in chasing down the total as they crossed the finishing line in the 19th over by losing only four wickets.
On the other hand, GT began their campaign in the tournament with a hard-fought six-wicket win over five-time champions Mumbai Indians. After scoring 168, GT managed to restrict MI to 162 for 9. At one stage, MI were on 129 for 3 and were looking destined to win the game but GT came up with a brilliant bowling display to clinch a thrilling win.

GT captain Shubman Gill won the toss and opted to bowl first. Speaking at toss, the India opener said: “We will bowl first. That match was physical and mentally exhausting. Everyone is well rested and well settled with 10 teams playing. We get enough rest time between matches. It shows the character of the team, the way our bowlers bounced back against Mumbai. Playing with the same team.”
CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad said: “We were looking to bowl first, wicket is hard and looks similar to the first game. It was a rusty start (against RCB) but we came back well. Everyone showed good intent throughout the innings. Pathirana comes in for Theekshana.”
