Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) has provided an injury update on pacer Mayank Yadav, who was ruled out of LSG vs GT match midway on Sunday, April 7. LSG has revealed the reason why Mayank Yadav was ruled out of the match. The franchise also informed whether he will be available for the next match.

Mayank Yadav is the new pace sensation in IPL 2024. The right-arm pacer has troubled opposition with his 150-plus KMPH deliveries. Notably, the LSG pacer clinched three-wicket hauls in his first two games to drive LSG to victory. He also won the Player of the Match awards in both games for his superb spells.

The 23-year-old pacer was expected to arrive with another such spell in his third game of IPL 2024 vs Gujarat Titans on Sunday. However, luck did not favour him as due to an injury, he was ruled out after bowling one over in the match. The LSG spearhead conceded 13 runs in LSG's fourth over, where he was smacked for 3 boundaries.

Mayank Yadav to be available for next match- Reports

As Mayank Yadav was ruled out of the last match due to injury, there are doubts whether he will be available for the next match. However, reports by TOI claim that Yadav will be back in LSG's next clash versus Delhi Capitals.

"Mayank Yadav felt some tightness after bowling the first over last night. @LucknowIPL management didn’t want to risk him. So, he was pulled out. He will go for a precautionary MRI but is most likely available for next match against @DelhiCapitals", a report by TOI said.

After Yadav was ruled out of the LSG vs GT game, Yash Thakur took the responsibility for team's pace attack. The right-arm pacer did a fantastic job in his 4 overs by stealing a 5-wicket haul. Thakur also bowled at a stunning 7.80 economy.
