Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has come up with a befitting reply to Murali Kartik’s controversial comments on Yash Dayal. The cricketer-turned-commentator made insulting comments about Yash Dayal during the RCB vs PBKS encounter on Monday.

During the commentary, Murali Kartik said, “Someone’s trash is someone’s treasure,” referring to Yash Dayal. However, after his impressive bowling show against PBKS, RCB defended their pacer with an incredible post on X (Twitter).

The franchise picked Dayal for Rs. 5 crore during the IPL 2024 mini-auction in December last year. Notably, Dayal was part of Gujarat Titans last season. He was slammed for six consecutive sixes by Rinku Singh last season.

Gujarat Titans also dropped the left-arm pacer from their squad ahead of the IPL 2024. However, RCB made a bet on the pacer and inducted him into their squad for a hefty amount of Rs. 5 crore.

Yash Dayal bowled an impressive spell against the Punjab Kings

Meanwhile, RCB crushed Punjab Kings by 4 wickets to register their first victory in the season. Yash Dayal bowled a brilliant spell in the match, conceding just 23 runs in his 4 overs with a crucial wicket of Sam Curran. Notably, the 26-year-old pacer was the most economical bowler for RCB in the match.

RCB opener Virat Kohli shattered a wonderful half-century (77 of 49) as the team aimed to chase down a 177-run target. RCB reached a tricky situation after losing 6 wickets for 130 on the board, losing some wickets cheaply in the middle.

However, lower-order batters Dinesh Kartik and Mahipal Lomror hit quickfire cameos to snatch victory for the side. Kartik (28* off 10) and Lomror (17* off 8) captured the victory for the team with 4 wickets in the final over.
