RCB vs PBKS, Impact players list: Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings are taking on each other in the sixth match of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL). The RCB vs PBKS match is scheduled to be played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Monday (March 25).

RCB started their campaign with a loss and would be hoping that their fortunes change at the home ground. In their first game of the season, the Bengaluru-based outfit suffered a six-wicket defeat at the hands of reigning champions Chennai Super Kings. RCB were reeling at 78 for 5 at one stage but managed to post a competitive total of 173 for 6.

However, the score was not enough to win the game as CSK crossed the finishing line in the 19th over by losing only four wickets. On the other hand, PBKS began their campaign with a four-wicket win over Delhi Capitals at home.

Set a target of 175, the Punjab-based outfit chased down the total with four balls to spare. The Shikhar Dhawan-led side will be looking to make the most of the momentum and beat RCB to extend their winning start in IPL 2024.

RCB vs PBKS: Impact players

RCB skipper Faf du Plessis has won the toss and opted to bowl first. Speaking at the toss, the former South Africa captain said:

“We are going to have a bowl. It looks a pretty good wicket but also because of the way our team is set up. The boys are excited for the season. In any game of cricket you can’t have clusters of wickets and we have to improve on that. Same team and one or two options on changing the substitutions.”

PBKS skipper Shikhar Dhawan said: “We would have bowled first. But looking forward to batting first now. We did a lot of right things in the first game and that’s why we ended up on the winning side. We have to keep improving each game. Same team.”

Here are the impact players nominated by both the teams:

RCB: Suyash Prabhudessai, Mahipal Lomror, Karn Sharma, Vijaykumar Vyshak, Swapnil Singh

PBKS: Arshdeep Singh, Rilee Rossouw, Tanay Thyagarajan, Harpreet Singh Bhatia, Vidhwath Kaverappa
