Bangladesh Cricket Team have suffered a massive blow as three of the key players have been injured. The ongoing third match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka is taking place at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.
The ongoing game against Sri Lanka hasn’t been in favor of Bangladesh at all. The trouble started for them when Mustafizur Rahman struggled to bowl in the 48th over. The fast bowler wasn’t able to stand on his own and was helped by his teammates.
Mustafizur faced terrible cramps all over his body and looked in immense pain. In the end, it led to a stretcher being called on the field and the pacer was placed on it before being carried off. The seriousness of injury is yet to be known but he looked in bad shape.
This could come as a huge blow not only for Bangladesh but Chennai Super Kings. The fast bowler was picked by the franchise and with the way he was stretched off, his participation in the league looked in jeopardy. He could’ve been vital for the team in the league.
If this was not enough, Bangladesh faced another injury as Soumya Sarkar injured his knee. He chased the ball in the deep and ran to his left but failed to save the boundary. But in the process, he hurt himself badly as he crashed his knee into the turf.
Soumya Sarkar looked in immense pain and the physios came out rushing and stretched his leg. However, the injury didn’t look very serious as after some treatment he was back on his feet and was fielding. But with the way he crashed, it could’ve been a serious injury.
If this was not enough, Bangladesh then faced another injury and this time it was young keeper-batter Jaker Ali. He went to take the catch of Pramod Madushanka but didn’t realize that Anamul Haque was also coming from the backward point.
The duo ran into each other and had a terrible collision. Jaker Ali was down and the stretcher was called in for him too. He was carried off on the stretcher. This came as a massive blow for Bangladesh as three key players suffered injuries.

The injuries not only were restricted to the Bangladesh team as Umpire Richard Kettleborough also did not take the field due to heat and was replaced by Tanvir Ahmed for this third ODI. Coming to the game, Sri Lanka posted a total of 235 runs on the board. They have taken two early wickets and now would be hoping to take early wickets and win the game. The series currently stands at 1-1.
