Suryakumar Yadav made his comeback to the field after a few months during the MI vs DC clash on Sunday, April 7. However, the Mumbai Indians batter could not showcase a spectacular show in the match; getting out for a two-ball duck. Suryakumar Yadav was dismissed by Delhi Capitals pacer Anrich Nortje.

Suryakumar Yadav has been out of the field since the start of this year due to a hamstring injury. The right-handed batsman also missed the India vs Afghanistan T20I series earlier this year in January. He led Team India to a 4-1 victory as Indian skipper against Australia in November last year. He later played in a T20I series vs South Africa in December.

Yadav also missed the first three opening games for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024 as he was getting fit for the field. A few days ago, the National Cricket Academy (NCA) declared him fit to play. As a result, Suryakumar Yadav made his comeback to the field after more than three months.

Suryakumar Yadav lost his wicket for two-ball duck in MI vs DC clash

However, Suryakumar Yadav failed to make a dream comeback. He arrived at the crease at one-down in the 7th over of MI vs DC clash. After Rohit Sharma lost his wicket for 49, Suryakumar arrived at his home stadium in Wankhede as the crowd cheered for his entry into IPL 2024.

The right-handed batsman faced DC pacer Anrich Nortje. The South Africa pacer beat him on the very first ball with an inswinger. However, as the MI star tried to hit the next ball for a lofted shot, he was brilliantly caught by Jake Fraser-McGurk near the 30-yard circle. Rohit Sharma-Ishan Kishan give amazing start to batting

Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians got off to a decent start in the clash against DC. Openers Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan added an opening stand of 80 runs in 7 overs, hitting 49 and 42 respectively. Both of them became a victim of Aar Patel.

Suryakumar Yadav (0) and Tilak Varma (6) also lost their wickets cheaply. DC made a brilliant comeback in the match later. Till the 14 overs, MI lost 4 wickets for 133 runs on the board with Tim David and Hardik Pandya on strike. Earlier, DC won the toss and opted to bowl first.

Rishabh Pant leads Delhi Capitals while Hardik Pandya leads Mumbai Indians in the match. MI replaced Dewald Brevis with Yadav in the clash. They also added Mohammad Nabi and Romario Shepherd as all-rounders in the playing 11. DC has inducted Lalit Yadav and Jhye Richardson in the match. Below are the playing 11 for both teams.
