Hardik Pandya grabbed the attention for all the wrong reasons last week when he was leading Mumbai Indians against Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The India allrounder made his debut as Mumbai Indians’ captain and was criticized by several fans for the way he treated his predecessor Rohit Sharma. In a clip that went viral on social media, Hardik Pandya was seen commanding Rohit Sharma on the field.
The Mumbai captain was seen ordering the senior batsman to field near the boundary. The former Mumbai captain usually fields inside the ring and looked absolutely shocked at Hardik Pandya’s. Rohit was so surprised with the ball that he double-checked with Hardik Pandya before running towards the boundary.
Well, the roles reversed on Wednesday (March 27) when things were not going well for Mumbai Indians against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Asked to bat first, SRH came out all guns blazing as they raced away to 81 inside the powerplay before completing their 100 runs in the 7th over.
With nothing working out, Rohit Sharma was seen setting the field. And on one occasion, he asked Hardik Pandya to field near the boundary as well. Pandya was seen asking Rohit Sharma about where to go before running towards the boundary.

Talking about the game, SRH were on 214 for 3 after 16 overs. Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma blew Mumbai Indians away by slamming whirlwind half-centuries. While Head completed his fifty in just 18 balls, Sharma went on to do it in just 16.
By the time the tenth over ended, SRH were on 148 for 2. At the time of writing this report, Heinrich Klaasen and Aiden Markram were in the middle for SRH. While Klaasen was batting on 34, Markram was unbeaten on 35. Both SRH and MI are eyeing their first win of the season after starting their respective campaign with a loss.
