The crazy for Rohit Sharma at the Wankhede Stadium has been unreal. This has been quite evident during the ongoing 14th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The match is taking place between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the iconic Stadium.

The poor treatment of Hardik Pandya continued even at the Wankhede Stadium. The Mumbai Indians skipper was booed by the crowd as he came up for the toss. If this was not enough, when he came to bat, he was greeted with boos and similar treatment followed when he got out.

However, it didn’t stop there as Hardik Pandya then was treated with the “Rohit Rohit” chants when Mumbai Indians came to the field. The all-rounder was greeted with the same chants at the Narendra Modi International Stadium in Ahmedabad and the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

In the ongoing game, the fans at the Wankhede Stadium are going crazy about Rohit Sharma as they have raised calls to see him captain the team yet again. But at the same time, they are making sure that they don’t go easy on Hardik Pandya. However, Rohit urged them not to do so.

During the 10th over the game, all that was heard was shouts of ‘Rohit, Rohit’ from the fans. However, when the ball came to Hardik Pandya, the crowd booed him but the former skipper of the team, who was fielding at the boundary ropes, asked fans to stop that. The video of the incident went viral on the internet. Watch here:

Coming to the game, Mumbai Indians didn’t have a great outing with the bat. Rohit Sharma bagged a golden duck whereas Hardik Pandya was the top run scorer of the team with his knock of 34 runs. They ended with a total of just 125 runs on the board.

However, with the ball, Mumbai Indians are making sure that they give their best with the ball. They have picked wickets at regular intervals and are keeping things tight at the Wankhede Stadium. They would be hoping to take a few more wickets and completely take the game under their grasp.
