Virat Kohli rarely gets bogged down by pressure and it was evident once again on Monday when Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) locked horns against Punjab Kings at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in the ongoing IPL 2024.

The former RCB captain came up with a hilarious comment even though his team was under pressure during the chase. The incident took place just before the 13th over when he was standing at the non-striker’s end and left-arm spinner Harpreet Brar was gearing up to bowl to Glenn Maxwell.

As Brar ran in to deliver the ball, Maxwell stopped him as he was yet to be ready to face the ball. And as Brar was walking towards his bowling mark, Virat Kohli was heard telling him: “Rukja behenc**, saans to lene de (roughly translated to: hold on, let him breathe)”. The right-handed batsman had come up with the same comment for Ravindra Jadeja as well last week when RCB played against Chennai Super Kings.

Watch as Virat Kohli comes up with the hilarious comment:

Brar eventually had the last laugh as he went on to dismiss Maxwell on the first ball of the over. The left-arm spinner bowled one on the off stump and the Australia star made room for himself to play a shot through the off side. However, Maxwell ended up chopping the ball onto the stumps.

Virat Kohli stars with the bat:

Talking about the game, Virat Kohli starred with the bat as RCB beat PBKS by four wickets to register their first win in IPL 2024. Chasing 177, RCB crossed the finishing line with four balls remaining. While the likes of Faf du Plessis, Cameron Green, and Glenn Maxwell failed to get going, Virat Kohli stood firm at one end.

He scored 77 runs off 49 balls with the help of 11 fours and two sixes and was dismissed by Harshal Patel in the 16th over. Towards the end, Dinesh Karthik (28* off 10) and Mahipal Lomror (17* off 8) came up with brilliant cameos to power RCB to a thrilling win.
