Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batter Virat Kohli yet again oozed his class with the bat in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The right-hander played a magnificent innings against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the ongoing match 10 of the tournament.

Virat Kohli carried the bat through and played a staggering innings at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The right-hander made sure that he made everyone stand and applaud him for his heroics. His innings kept his team in the hunt despite wickets falling at the other end.

Virat Kohli, who scored 77 runs, in the last game against Punjab Kings, made sure that he carries his good form and plays another blinder for his team. The opening batter put Kolkata Knight Riders bowlers under immense pressure. What was the highlight of his innings was the array of shots he displayed.

One of the shots during his innings that caught the attention of many was the flick shot that came against Mitchell Starc. The batter brought his iconic flick shot and dispatched the ball into the stands at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Virat Kohli displayed a sensational bit of timing as he used his bottom hand to perfection. He had his eyes under the ball and muscled the ball for a big six. The maximum lifted the entire crowd as they all cheered for their premier batter in their home ground.

Not only the fans but batting great Sunil Gavaskar, who was commentating, was in awe of Virat Kohli’s shot. The former India was in gaga of the shot and said on air: Out of my sight!. Look at the flick, look at the bottom hand. What a shot that is. Wonderful.”

Virat Kohli ended with an innings of 83 runs off 59 balls. He had a strike rate of over 140 in his innings and also slammed 4 fours and 4 sixes in his knock. His valiant innings at the top powered Royal Challengers Bengaluru to a total of 182 runs on the board.

Cameron Green, who played an innings of 33 runs, opened up about his partnership with Virat Kohli. The duo added 65 runs together and according to the all-rounder, his partner played another beautiful innings for the team at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Cameron Green while talking about the experience of Virat Kohli also gave insights about the wicket. Speaking to the broadcasters after the first innings, he explained:

“It’s always nice to bat with Virat, he looked beautiful again today. There are certain bowlers in their team that I have never faced before. He has faced some 10 or 20 times, the experience is always amazing. They had a pretty good blueprint, cutters into the wicket – holding and not bouncing even, we have to wait and see if the dew comes in.”

Royal Challengers Bengaluru would be hoping to defend the target and win their second consecutive game of the season, having won the last game against Punjab Kings
