Yash Thakur provides Mayank Yadav's fitness status after injury in LSG vs GT clash

During LSG vs GT encounter of IPL 2024 on Sunday, April 7, Lucknow Super Giants faced a big blow as their star speedster Mayank Yadav was ruled out after his first over. Mayank Yadav faced an injury after conceding 13 runs off his first over. Later, his teammate Yash Thakur gave his fitness update to the reporters during the post-match press conference.
Mayank Yadav rattled the opposition after his debut for LSG in IPL 2024. He bowled magnificent spells against Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru to drive his team to victory while defending targets. The right-arm pacer hunted 3 wickets in both games at fabulous economy to win the Player of the Match award.

Nothing to Worry- Yash Thakur on Mayank Yadav's injury
After Mayank Yadav's exit in LSG vs GT clash, pacer Yash Thakur took the onus for LSG's victory in the match. The right-arm pacer hunted 5-wicket haul to crush GT batters. During the post-match press conference, Thakur gave an update on Mayank Yadav's injury.
"No nothing to worry, he is all good", he said. "Mayank Yadav is an extra-ordinary player. I believe the speed at which he bowls if like a god gift. I know my limitations and my strengths. So I back my strength", Thakur further added about LSG's new recruit.

Yash Thakur also revealed that LSG skipper KL Rahul told him it was his day to give his best show in the match. He also added he enjoyed the wicket of GT skipper Shubman Gill.
"Unfortunately Mayank Yadav got injured, so KL said it was my day and asked me to make the most of it. We are winning the first game against GT in IPL history, very happy with it. Really enjoyed Gill's wicket, the most memorable of all".
"Happy with this five-wicket haul and Man of the Match award. I had planned against Gill, I stuck to my plan, KL Rahul had advised me to do so and it paid off", the Uttar Pradesh bowler further said.

LSG moves to 3rd spot in points table with 3 wins out of 4 games
With Yash Thakur's fabulous show against Gujarat Titans, Lucknow Super Giants can bank upon another pacer in the forthcoming games of IPL 2024. Moreover, Mayank Yadav not getting ruled out of upcoming games is a big sigh of relief for the KL Rahul & Co.
Meanwhile, Lucknow outplayed Gujarat Titans by 33 runs to snatch their third consecutive win in IPL 2024. With 3 wins across 4 games, LSG takes the 3rd spot in the points table, following Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). They will next face Delhi Capitals on Friday, April 12 at Ekana Stadium.
