MS Dhoni is an Indian cricketer who played for Team India in international cricket. He is a right-handed wicketkeeper-batsman. Dhoni represented Jharkhand in domestic cricket and plays for Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. Here we are taking a look at all the MS Dhoni's centuries in international cricket.
MS Dhoni's Centuries:
MS Dhoni's international cricket career spanned well over a decade. He made his debut in 2004 and brought down curtains on his legendary career in 2020. He made his ODI debut during the 2004 tour of Bangladesh before making his Test debut in 2005 against Sri Lanka. In 2006, the former India skipper made his T20I debut as well.
He retired from the game as one of the most decorated wicketkeeper-batsmen in the history of the game. Dhoni left a huge impact on the game not only as a wicketkeeper but also as a batsman and captain. He still remains the only captain to win all the three major ICC tournaments in limited-overs cricket - ODI World Cup, T20 World Cup and the Champions Trophy.
With the bat, Dhoni scored a staggering 10, 773 runs in ODIs. He also took a record 321 catches and affected 123 stumpings in the 50-over format. In Tests, he scored more than 4500 runs while in T20Is, the legendary cricketer scored over 1500 runs.
MS Dhoni's Test Centuries:
MS Dhoni's Test career began in 2005 when India hosted Sri Lanka. He retired from the longest format of the game in 2014. Dhoni played a total of 90 Tests and led India in a record 60 of those games. Of the 60 games under Dhoni's captaincy, India won 27.
At the time of his retirement, Dhoni was India's most successful Test captain before the record was broken by his successor and former teammate Virat Kohli. With the bat, Dhoni scored a total of 4876 runs in the red-ball format of international cricket.
MS Dhoni's total Test centuries number is 6. MS Dhoni's first Test century came against Pakistan in the 2006 Faisalabad Test. He scored 148 runs as the game ended in a draw. Dhoni's 148-run knock came off just 153 balls and was studded with 19 fours and 4 sixes.
In 2008 Dhoni replaced Anil Kumble as India's Test captain and scored his other 5 Test centuries as a captain. MS Dhoni's last Test century was a blistering knock of 224 runs against Australia in the 2014 Chennai Test.

MS Dhoni's ODI Centuries:
Dhoni enjoyed huge success in ODIs both as a batsman as well as a captain and wicketkeeper. Even though he batted in the lower middle-order for the majority of his career, he still managed to score over 10,000 runs in the format. And so it is not surprising that he was the first player to score 10,000 runs in ODIs at an average of more than 50.
He hit a total of 10 centuries in the 50-over format. MS Dhoni's first ODI century was his iconic 148-run knock against Pakistan in Vizag in 2005. The century truly marked his arrival in international cricket and Dhoni did not look back after that.
MS Dhoni's highest ODI score is 183 that he scored against Sri Lanka in 2006. MS Dhoni's last ODI century came against England in 2017.
