Indian National Cricket team skipper Virat Kohli is currently on cloud nine after beating Australia in the Test and ODI series on their home soil. As a result, he became the first Indian skipper to win a Test series Down Under and also win their first-ever bilateral series in Australia.

Although Kohli has blown hot and cold with the bat in the tour, he had scored runs when his side needed the most. In addition to, he has led the team brilliantly from the front throughout the tour. However, once the series was over, Virat Kohli spent some quality time with his wife, Anushka Sharma. The duo also went to see the famous Australian Open and met with legendary tennis star Roger Federer.

Recently, Virat Kohli while speaking on his own Virat Kohli App, admitted that nothing is more significant than life and cricket is a part of it. He also noted that his family should always be the priority. Talking about the larger picture, the Indian skipper pointed out that no matter what you do in life you have to come back home.

8 years down the line, priority would be family. Priority would be myself, Anushka and our family by then. Cricket would obviously be a part of my life always but I think family should be priority at all times because nothing is bigger than life. Cricket is a part of life, nothing should be bigger than life,” Kohli said.

I know people take life too seriously and be like… ‘if you don’t take cricket too seriously, then you’re not committed enough’. I don’t believe in all that. The larger picture always has to be life because whatever happens and may happen, you always come back home,” he added.

Cricket is a special part of my life

In addition to, Virat Kohli noted that his sole focus would be his family, eight years down the line while saying that cricket is not the most important thing in his life.

So I think the priority will be family, should be family. Cricket will be a very special part of my life, but it’s not the most important thing in life is the way I see it. I am blessed to be able to do it right now, it has to end one day. Eight years down the line, I think I will be totally focussed on my family,” he concluded.
