Twitter Hails Sensational AB de Villiers After Comfortable RCB Win
Updated - 22 Apr 2018, 01:44 AM
Royal Challengers Bangalore won their game against Delhi Daredevils comprehensively in Chinnaswamy stadium. Both the teams were in horrendous form going into the game, but RCB came out with flying colors with a easy win with six wickets in hand.
An AB de Villiers’ master class has helped RCB win the game comfortably. Although there has been lot of concerns about their bowling, batsmen also found it difficult against Delhi bowlers.
Virat Kohli did provide the support during middle overs but the form of their top order once again looks like a concern. Trent Boult took a sensational one hand blinder to dismiss Kohli, but AB de Villiers’ just increased his rate of scoring post the incident.
His 90 runs from just 39 balls is just out of the context of the game and the way pitch was playing. Earlier in the day, Bangalore bowlers were very good in the power play overs to restrict Delhi openers to a less score in the power play overs.
But youngsters Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant played extraordinary cricket to increase their rate of scoring. Pant, especially was swashbuckling with his bat as he guided his team until the end. Delhi managed a par 174/5 in their 20 overs which proved to be less on the wicket.
AB de Villiers once again caught the eye of the audience with his stellar show against his former employers.

No stopping AB now. Fifty off only 24 balls. Bitter-sweet feeling

AB de Villiers is not batting. But he is a legerdemain conjuring up tricks with one certain willow. The leather seems to be flowing from his magical wand (willow) like water rushing down a mountain #RCBvDD #IPL2018

90 runs in just 39 balls. Just 39 balls. You get Ponting, Gambhir, everyone DD, but you must use resources better to compete and win consistently.

Youngsters Iyer & Pant led fine recovery for DD. Crucial phase of match. Breakthrough comes at crucial time for @RCBTweets #ReinventYourGame

These are the things that Rishab Pant can do if he uses his head which he did today. Played himself in first on a slow track and then unleashed his 'Dilli se hu BC' mode. #IPL2018

Delhi Daredevils has been the most consistent team in the last 5 years. They have consistently not reached the play-offs. #RCBvDD

Hard to judge a coach from outside but under Ponting, DD's selections have been strange.
