Slapgate Rocks PSL 2022 Watch- Haris Rauf Slaps Kamran Ghulam For Dropping A Catch vs Peshawar Zalmi.

Another shameful incident has rocked the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2022) as a video has emerged of Pakistan bowler Haris Rauf slapping his teammate Kamran Ghulam in a match between Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi. After beginning on a high note, PSL 2022 has seen a lot of turbulence with several players flying back home due to personal reasons and a payment dispute issue between PCB and James Faulkner.

Faulkner stirred a massive controversy when he flew back home midway from the tournament and alleged the Pakistan Cricket Board for non-compliance over his payment settlements. It was reported that Faulkner misbehaved in the Hotel where he was staying as he threw his bat and helmet at the Chandellier.

Later, PCB came up with a statement denying all the allegations and mentioned that it will not allow Faulkner to ever participate in the tournament.

On Monday night, Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi took on each other in match 30 of PSL 2022 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Having won the toss, Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and elected to bat first notching up 158 runs on the scoreboard for the loss of 7 wickets. In response, Lahore Qalandars also finished on the same score in their 20 overs.

However, a rather unfortunate incident took place in the match when Kamran Ghulam dropped a catch of Hazratullah Zazai off Haris Rauf’s delivery. Later, in the same over, Haris Rauf dismissed Mohammad Haris when Fawad Ahmed took a catch on the fine leg boundary. As Kamran Ghulam walked up to Haris Rauf to celebrate the wicket, Haris slapped Kamran.

Although Kamran Ghulam did not escalate the matter and was seen smiling, such sort of behaviour cannot be justified in the Gentleman’s Game. It remains to be seen if the Pakistan Cricket Board or the Lahore Qalandars franchise will take any disciplinary action against Haris to set an example for other players participating in the league.

As far as the match is concerned, both the teams finished on the same score of 158 runs and the game eventually went into Super Over. Lahore batted first in the Super Over and could manage only 5 runs thanks to some great bowling by Wahab Riaz. When Peshawar walked out to bat, Shoaib Malik, sealed the deal in two deliveries only.
