SS Rajan T20 Trophy 2025 Schedule
The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is Pakistan's main T20 tournament. It is organized by the Pakistan Cricket Board every year. A total of six teams participates in the PSL as of now.
The six teams represent six cities of Pakistan. The teams are - Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zalmi, Quetta Gladiators and Lahore Qalandars. The first season of the PSL was played in the year 2016 with five teams. Islamabad United won the inaugural season with a win over Quetta Gladiators in the final.
Five teams competed in the second season as well. Ahead of the third season, the PCB decided to expand the PSL by adding Multan Sultans. From 2018, the PSL has been a nine-team affair.
While all the six teams have won the PSL at least once so far, Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars are the only teams to win it more than once. Islamabad United have won the tournament three times so far and are the most successful team. On the other hand, Lahore Qalandars have won it twice and are also the only team to defend the PSL title.
Over the years, the PSL has become one of the most popular cricket leagues in the world. Big names from around the world participate in it every year, making it a highly-competitive and world class competition. Fans eagerly wait for the PSL every year to see exciting games.
