Tilak Varma is an Indian cricketer who represents Team India in international cricket. In domestic cricket, he plies his trade for Hyderabad while in the Indian Premier League, he plays for Mumbai Indians.
Tilak has also represented India at the Under-19 level and was a member of the team that played in the 2020 Under-19 World Cup.
After impressing in the domestic circuit, Tilak earned his maiden IPL contract during the IPL 2022 mega auction.
Five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians signed him up. It did not take Tilak long to become an integral member of the Mumbai Indians side.
In three seasons, he has scored over 1000 runs for Mumbai Indians. In 2023, Tilak also made his debut for Team India and has been backed by many including Rohit Sharma to become an all-format player for Team India in the future.

Tilak Varma's Parents:
Tilak Varma was born to Namboori Nagaraju and Gayatri Devi. Tilak Varma's father, Namboori Nagaraju was an electrician by profession. On the other hand, Tilak Varma's mother, Gayatri Devi was a homemaker.
Even though his father was not financially well off and struggled to make ends meet with his meager income, he made sure to support his son in his pursuit of becoming a cricketer. In an old interview, Tilak revealed that his father never stopped him from playing cricket.
Tilak's father enrolled him in Legala Sports Academy for his cricket training. He honed his skills under the coaching of Salam Bayash. While Tilak's father struggled to cover his training expenses, his coach took care of those expenses.
At home, Tilak's mother was always there for him. Even though mothers usually want their sons to focus more on their studies, she did not force Tilak to compromise with cricket. In an interview, Gayatri revealed that her son was interested in cricket from a very young age and would play cricket whenever he got any chance.
Tilak Varma's siblings:
Tilak Varma is not the only child of his parents. He has a sibling as well, elder brother Tarun Varma. Not much information is available to the public about Tilak Varma's brother.
