ICC tournaments are very crucial tournaments in international cricket since all the top countries participate in the contests. ODI World Cup, T20I World Cup, and Champions Trophy are the 3 main ICC events. World Test Championship has now also become a major ICC event.  The team that wins an ICC tournament also gets a tag of World Champions.

The Indian team has won ICC tournaments 5 times. India won the ODI World Cup in 1983 and 2011. India won the T20I World Cup in 2007 and also won two Champions Trophy titles in 2002 and 2013. So far, India has reached the finals of an ICC event 10 times; including the ongoing ICC World Test Championship final against New Zealand.

5. Yuvraj Singh- 110 Runs

Yuvraj Singh takes the 5th spot in this list with 110 runs in 6 innings in the finals of ICC events. The former Indian cricketer scored 24 runs during India vs Australia ODI World Cup 2003 final. Against Sri Lanka in ODI WC 2011 final, the former Indian all-rounder scored 21* runs.

During India vs Pakistan T20I World Cup 2007 final, the left-handed batsman scored 14 runs. In T20I WC 2014 final against Sri Lanka, he scored 11 runs. Yuvraj Singh also played in two finals of the Champions Trophy. During India vs New Zealand Champions Trophy 2000 final, he scored 18 runs. During the Champions Trophy 2017 final against Pakistan, Yuvraj hit 22 runs.

4. Virender Sehwag- 120 Runs

Virender Sehwag is the 4th player on this list. The former Indian cricketer has smashed 120 runs in 4 innings for India during the finals of ICC events. Sehwag was part of the India vs Australia ODI World Cup 2003 final, in which he scored 82 runs. The right-handed batsman was dismissed for a duck during India vs Sri Lanka ODI World Cup 2011 final.

Sehwag also played two ICC finals during Champions Trophy 2002 against Sri Lanka. There were two final games played during the tournament, both of which were washed out due to rain. In the 1st final, Sehwag scored 13 runs. In the 2nd final, he scored hit 25 runs.

3. Sourav Ganguly- 141 Runs

Sourav Ganguly accounts for 141 runs in 2 innings in the finals of ICC events. He gets the 3rd spot on this list. Ganguly played in the finals of ICC events on two occasions- India vs Australia ODI World Cup 2003 final and India vs New Zealand Champions Trophy 2000 final.

The former Indian skipper scored 24 runs during India vs Australia ODI World Cup 2003 final. During India vs New Zealand Champions Trophy 2000 final, the left-handed batsman smashed a century. He scored 117 runs off 130 balls while batting as an opener in the match.

2. Gautam Gambhir- 172 Runs

Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir accounts for 172 runs in 2 innings in the finals of ICC events. Hence, he gets the 2nd spot on this list. The left-handed batsman played in ICC finals two times- in India vs Sri Lanka ODI World Cup 2011 final and India vs Pakistan T20I World Cup 2007 final.

The left-handed batsman smashed 97 runs against Sri Lanka in ODI World Cup 2011 final. He smashed 75 runs off 54 balls during the T20I World Cup 2007 final against Pakistan. India won the match on both occasions and lifted ICC titles.

Virat Kohli takes the top spot on this list. The Indian skipper has scored 204 runs in 5 innings for India in the finals of ICC events. During India vs Sri Lanka ODI World Cup 2011 final, Kohli scored 35 runs off 49 balls. The right-handed batsman also played a brilliant knock of 77 runs off 58 balls during the T20I World Cup 2014 final against Sri Lanka.

Dring India vs England Champions Trophy 2013 final, he scored 43 runs off 34 deliveries. In the Champions Trophy 2017 final against Pakistan, he scored 5 runs. In the ongoing ICC World Test Championship final against New Zealand, Kohli scored 44 runs in the 1st innings.
