India and New Zealand will be gearing up for the inaugural edition of the ICC World Test Championship final ready to get underway in a few week’s time at the Rose Bowl, Southampton. 5 Players With Most Sixes In The Tournament:

Ben Stokes:

Ben Stokes has hit 31 sixes which is the most for any player in the ICC World Test Championship and is a great achievement for the England all-rounder. He had an outstanding tournament with 1334 runs in 17 Tests at an average of 46 and scored four centuries and six half-centuries in the tournament.

Stokes stands fourth in the list of top run-getters in the ICC World Test Championship too and he remains an integral part of the England Test side. His 135 not out in the third Test of the Ashes series was something that he will remember for a long time and he won the game on his own from a very difficult situation.

Rohit Sharma:

Rohit Sharma is the second on the list of most sixes hit by a player in the tournament and has hit 27 sixes so far. He has been brilliant after promoting up the top of the order scoring 1030 runs in 11 Tests at an average of 64.37. He finished as the sixth-highest run-getter in the tournament.

Rohit scored four centuries and two half-centuries in the ICC World Test Championship and missed few tests due to injury. His highest score of 212 came against South Africa in the home series where he was sent up to open the batting for the first time in Tests.

Mayank Agarwal:

Mayank Agarwal had a brilliant tournament until he lost his spot in the top order recently in Tests and despite that, he finished third in the list of most sixes in the tournament hitting 18 sixes. He scored 857 runs in the tournament in 12 tests at an average of 42.85.

Agarwal hit three centuries and two half-centuries in the ICC World Test Championship and after some poor outings in the series against Australia, he was replaced by Shubman Gill at the top of the order. He is still in the squad for the World Test Championship finals and will have to wait until he gets his opportunity at the top of the order again.

Rishabh Pant:

Rishabh Pant is a master of hitting sixes in any format and he has upgraded himself to become an integral part of the Indian team. The wicket-keeper batsman scored 662 runs in the 11 Tests he played at an average of 41.37.?? He finished fourth in the list of most sixes in the ICC World Test Championship as he hit 16 sixes overall.

Pant scored a century and four fifties in the tournament and played a lot of important innings at crucial times. He went on to become the player for crisis as his ability to take on the bowling proved to be game-changing. His contributions were immense in the famous series win against Australia in their own backyard.

Jos Buttler:

Jos Buttler is one of the most destructive batsmen in all the formats and he has had a great impact for England in tests. He hit a total of 14 sixes and is fifth on the list of most sixes in the ICC World Test Championship by any player. Buttler scored 963 runs in the 18 tests at an average of 33.20.

He hit one century and four half-centuries in the tournament with the highest score of 152. He is a 360-degree player and can hit long balls at ease.
