Indian skipper Rohit Sharma was caught shouting on leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal on the field during the second ODI between India and West Indies on Wednesday.

India defeated West Indies by 44 runs after pace bowler Prasidh Krishna bowled a marvellous spell of 4/12 from nine overs as West Indies were bowled out for 193.

India annexed the three-match series after the clinical win at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Wednesday which was followed by their six-wicket victory in the first ODI.

Before Washington Sundar was about to begin India’s 45th over, Rohit was setting India’s fielding position and he yelled at Chahal for not moving quickly to his place.

Rohit’s bawling was caught by the stump mics and the clip went viral on social media with some animated reactions from the fans.

“Kya hua terko? Bhaag kyun nahi raha hai theek se? Chal udhar bhaag (What happened to you? Why aren’t you running properly? Go and field there),” Rohit told Chahal.

Coming back to the match, Chahal had got the important wicket of West Indies opener Shai Hope after the batter failed to pick the leg-breaker outside off and was caught by Suryakumar Yadav at long-on.

The player of the match was Krishna, who snatched the game away from the visitors as they were chasing a modest target of 238.

Krishna hit hard length outside off and extracted some bounce to dismiss Brandon King in the eighth over. He angled one delivery across Darren Bravo to induce his edge, although his appeal was turned down by the on-field umpire but moments later the decision was reversed via DRS.

Prasidh bowled a back of length delivery to West Indies stand-in skipper Nicholas Pooran, who found an outside edge that went to Rohit at wide slip.

Earlier in the day, a 91-run stand between KL Rahul (49) and Suryakumar Yadav (64) helped India post 237/9 after an early batting collapse.
