World Championship of Legends 2025 Schedule
The five-match Test series between India and England will be getting underway in June this year. It will be the first series for both the teams in the new World Test Championship (WTC) cycle.
The series will kickstart a new phase for Team India. They will have a new Test captain and would be eager to start their new journey on a positive note. Rohit Sharma recently retired from Tests and the selectors are set to name a new captain soon.
Apart from Rohit, Virat Kohli has also brought down curtains on his Test career and the youngsters will have a huge void to fill. For the first time since 2014, India will be playing a Test series in England without Rohit or Kohli and will have their task cut out.
While India have thoroughly dominated England at home in the last one decade or so, the same cannot be said about their performance in England. India have not won a Test series in England since 2007. During the last tour, they had won two Tests and will be looking to clinch a memorable victory in the upcoming series.
India vs England Schedule:
With the cricketing world eagerly waiting for the India vs England series to start, here is the full schedule for the series. The first Test of the series will be played at the Headingley in Leeds from June 20. India and England have played 7 Tests at the venue so far. Of those 7 games, England have won 4, India have won 2 while one match ended in a draw.
The second Test will be played from July 2 at Edgbaston. India have a terrible record at the venue. Of the 8 games played between the two teams at this venue so far, England have won 7 while 1 match ended in a draw.
The third Test will be taking place at the Lord's from July 10. India's record at the Lord's is not very impressive either. India have managed to win only 3 of the 19 Tests that they have played at the venue so far while England have won 12 of those games.
The fourth Test will be played in Manchester from July 23. India and England have played 9 Tests at the venue. Of those 9 Tests, England have won 4 while the other 5 Tests ended in draw.
The India vs England Test series will conclude with the fifth and final Test at the Oval, scheduled to be played from July 31. Out of the 14 Tests between the two teams so far at the venue, England have won 5 while India have won 2.
