“Good to catch up with the great man @ShaneWarne at his amazing house tonight in Melbourne! The host was as awesome as his bowling was….. absolute magic !????,” Akram tweeted.

Two of the greatest bowlers of their generation, Warne and Akram picked up almost 2000 international wickets. Warne retired after picking up 708 wickets in Tests and 293 wickets in One-Day Internationals, helping Australia to win multiple Ashes and World Cup.

On the other hand, Akram brought down curtains on his illustrious career as the leading wicket-taker in ODIs before Muttiah Muralitharan broke it. Akram was the first bowler to reach the 500-wicket mark in the 50-over format as he retired with 502 wickets to his name. In Tests, he picked up 414 wickets. The Sultan of Swing starred with the ball when Pakistan won their maiden and only World Cup till date.
