It is going to be a dead rubber contest between India and Afghanistan in the fifth match of the Super Four stage in the ongoing Asia Cup 2018. India has already qualified for the final whereas Afghanistan has been knocked out of the tournament. Thus, the match is not going to have any such importance as far as the tournament is concerned. However, Afghanistan will have all to play for.

They have lost two close contests, however, they have fought hitherto their last breath. Thus, there were some harsh lessons for Afghanistan. They would have been gutted to be on the wrong side of the result but there was a lot to learn for them.

On the other hand, India has the most dominant side in the tournament as they have won all their contests and have been unbeaten. Therefore, they have been clinical in the six-nation tournament. Subsequently, India will look to continue with the impetus in the ongoing tournament.
