Gautam Gambhir, the World Cup victor, advised that Suryakumar Yadav bat at No. 3 for India in T20 Internationals, noting that you shouldn’t mess with someone’s strong form.

In the shortest version of the game, Yadav has been one of India’s most reliable performers. He also struck a fantastic hundred during the team’s trip of England.

Yadav should be batting at No. 3 in India’s batting order, according to Styris and Gambhir, who both agreed on the topic after much debate before the World Cup this year.

You Should Not Fiddle With Suryakumar Yadav’s Form: Gautam Gambhir

Gambhir clarified his reasoning for putting Yadav in the No.3 place, saying that you don’t mess with someone’s form to get another player in good form. He lauded the 31-year-efforts old’s in England and the West Indies, saying the right-handed batsman should bat come at number three from now until the World Cup and see how it pans out.

“See, I have a reason behind it. The reason is that you don’t fiddle with someone’s form, just because you want someone else to get back in form. He was unbelievable in England when everyone struggled. He was brilliant in the West Indies as well. He’s 30 as well. He is not like 21, 22.

He doesn’t have a lot of time on his hands. Make him bat at No.3, make the most of his form and Virat Kohli, he has got so much experience, he can still come and bat at No.4, depending on the situation as well. I personally feel that Surya should be batting at No.3 from here on till the World Cup and see how the results is going to be,” said Gambhir.
