IND vs AFG: "No Need To Judge Bhuvneshwar Kumar After Two Games"- Rohit Sharma

Indian Cricket Team’s straight second loss has meant that they are almost out of the Mega Event. The senior fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar would be under the pump as he hasn’t been that efficient. Men in Blue now have to hope that Afghanistan somehow defeats Pakistan and Sri Lanka beat Pakistan. All these scenarios are quite unlikely to happen. Indian Cricket Team would be utterly disappointed as they gifted the match to the Lankan side.
Head Coach Rahul Dravid would be questioned for his tactics and selection. The case of Dinesh Karthik is quite baffling as a player of his calibre is seen on the bench. It looks like the skipper & Coach is looking at the far future rather than focusing on the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022.
The billion people would be aware of the drubbing that the Indian Cricket Team got in ICC T20 World Cup 2021, and would hope that it won’t happen again in ICC T20 World Cup 2022.
Rohit Sharma on Bhuvneshwar Kumar
Rohit Sharma was quite supportive of Bhuvneshwar Kumar. “Even experienced bowlers go for runs. Bhuvi has been playing for us for so many years and has won us so many matches in death overs”. Rohit Sharma said.
“We wanted to try out certain things. Before Asia Cup, we had four seamers, and two spinners and one of them was an all-rounder. I always wanted to try and find out what happens when you play three seamers and two spinners and one seamer is an all-rounder. When you play with quality, you want to challenge yourself. The fourth seamer was not available, as he was sick”. Rohit Sharma added
“There are a lot of questions that we need to answer, we have found answers for some while playing in the last 3-4 series. Somewhere sometime, we will draw a line and say “yes that this combination needs to play”. We will try out more players in Australia and South Africa series till the T20 World Cup squad is announced“. Rohit Sharma concluded.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar Not Effective At the Death Overs
Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been getting a lot of beating as the pacer has failed to deliver in death overs. The management would be unhappy after seeing the performance of Bhuvneshwar Kumar as he is one of the star Indian bowlers present. The pacer who has been leading the bowling attack has lost his mojo. His slower deliveries & knuckle balls haven’t been that productive as he has got a lot of hammering in the 19th over against both Pakistan & Sri Lanka.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar may be overburdened as there is no Bumrah & Shami. The duo has been quite efficient for the Indian Cricket Team as they know how to fox the batters. Selection Committee & Management has very less time to get a turn-around. Skipper Rohit Sharma is keen on making experiments that are quite questionable as momentum is everything in T20I Cricket.
