Reetinder Singh Sodhi thinks Rohit Sharma’s batting performance will be critical for Team India in their next Asia Cup 2022 match against Pakistan.

Sodhi mentioned Sharma’s lackluster performance against Pakistan in T20Is during a conversation on India News Sports. He believes the right-hander must change things around this time, or they will lose if they start shakily.

The former cricketer emphasized that the Men in Blue have a potent middle order that can increase the ante in any situation. He did, however, highlight that the top-tier big guns must provide them with a firm foundation on which to build.

“Rohit Sharma must improve his statistics against Pakistan in T20Is.” His form will be critical. You can not go 10 for 2 or 20 for 3 against Pakistan or any other side in the Asia Cup. We have enough bats in the lineup.”

“Any bowling attack is dominated by players like Rishabh Pant, Suryakumar Yadav, and Hardik Pandya. However, they will want a stage, which Rohit, KL Rahul, and Virat Kohli will need to provide. If we get off to a strong start, we can score 230.”

Rohit Sharma has struggled against left-arm pace bowlers: Rajkumar Sharma

Rohit Sharma has struggled against left-arm pacers, as per Rajkumar Sharma. He believes that when a batter is out to the same type of bowler, he thinks about it a lot.

“In the past, Rohit Sharma has suffered against left-arm seamers. Fortunately for him, Pakistan lacks such bowlers this time around. It is not that he can not play left-arms or that he has not prepared, but it does get to the player’s head when he keeps getting out to the same type of bowlers.”

In the second encounter of the Asia Cup 2022, India and Pakistan will square off. The eagerly anticipated showdown will take place on Sunday (August 28) at the Dubai International Stadium.
