IND vs PAK: Watch- Faf Du Plessis Sends Special Wishes To Virat Kohli Before India Vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2022 Clash

Faf du Plessis has sent a video message to India’s Virat Kohli ahead of upcoming India vs Pakistan clash in the ongoing Asia Cup 2022 which will take place in the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on August 28, 2022.

Virat Kohli will be making his return to the Indian side after taking a lengthy break from the game and will be hoping to put an end to his three-year vigil of not scoring runs given that his last century came in November 2019.

India and Pakistan clashes are ones that generate the most eyeballs and revenue for governing boards, be it ICC or ACC and hence they plan the schedule of the tournaments in such a way that the two teams play maximum times.

This is also due to the fact that India and Pakistan have not played a bilateral series for the last decade and their meetings in ICC and ACC events have become the premium viewership experience.

This match is also special for Virat Kohli, the former India captain, as he will play his 100^th T20I match for India, becoming the second Indian to do so after Rohit Sharma (132). Kohli was the captain of the Indian team which lost to Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2021 at the same venue.

Kohli will also be hoping for his form to come back given the long rejuvenating break, and in anticipation of the same, his Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Faf du Plessis had a special message for him.

He said: “Hi Virat, congrats on your hundredth T20I not only that becoming d 1st Indian cricketer to play 100 matches over all three formats. another fantastic achievement to add to the list of all the amazing things that you’ve already done. But I am also really looking forward to seeing, over the next few years, what you are going to come up with, what special things we are gonna see from you. I know there is a lot left in that tank of yours and I am really excited to see it. Congratulations and good luck for the Asia cup.”

Virat Kohli will become the second cricketer overall to play 100 plus matches in all three forms of international cricket after New Zealand’s Ross Taylor and everyone is hoping for a Kohli special in this match.
