Indian Cricket Team was seen in their first training session on Wednesday in the United Arab Emirates for the Asia Cup 2022. India’s dashing batter Virat Kohli had an intense session in the nets as he was seen smashing the bowlers. The dynamic batter is playing competitive cricket after the England tour as he was given a break for the Caribbean & Zimbabwe white ball leg.

The 33-year-old batter has been going through a lean patch for quite a long time.  He had a terrible IPL 2022 and England tour where his off-side-channel weakness was exposed. A billion people are still quite hopeful that they would see the old Vintage Virat Kohli who used to disseminate the bowlers. Kohli would be eager to put a clinical performance against Pakistan on Sunday (August 28).

Virat Kohli Catches Up With Babar Azam And Mohammad Yousuf

India and Pakistan players met each other after their training sessions in Dubai. It was quite interesting to see that there is no rift amongst the cricketers irrespective of the political tensions. Kohli met Pakistan Captain Babar Azam and also had a brief chat with Pakistan’s batting coach & legend Mohammad Yousuf.

Watch the video here:

Earlier this year, Yousuf had backed Kohli in his tough phase; he had also compared Kohli to the God of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar.

Every player goes through a lean patch and Virat is no different. However, he has been sensational in the last 10 years and has dominated cricket like Sachin Tendulkar, he had said in an interaction with Pakistan news channel ARY news. “Scoring 70 centuries is not as easy task. For me, he is the number one player in the last 10 years.

Hong Kong Joins India And Pakistan In Group A Of Asia Cup 2022

Indian Cricket Team is placed in Group A of the Asia Cup 2022 which includes Hong Kong who qualified after winning the Qualifier Round. India would like to go for a hat-trick of titles having previously won the title in 2016 and 2018.

Rohit Sharma-led team would be aiming for the 8th title and most importantly they have a score to settle with Pakistan as earlier in the 2021 T20 World Cup they had humiliated them. The tournament is due to kick-start on 27th August as Sri Lanka takes on Afghanistan.
