Indian batter Virat Kohli opened up about the rivalry between India and Pakistan. He admitted that when they play against their arch-rivals, the atmosphere is very different to the other games and one cannot ignore that.

India and Pakistan will be neck to neck with each other in the Asia Cup 2023. They will be facing each other on 2nd September at Kandy and also might cross swords against each other in the Super 4s as well as the final of the tournament. The excitement, however, isn’t limited to this only as they are also slated to play on 14th October in the ICC World Cup 2023 game.

When it comes to the game against Pakistan, Virat Kohli has always been India’s go-to man. In a game where the majority of players have succumbed to pressure, he has stood tall and has guided his team to victory on numerous occasions.

The eyes will be on him again when the two Asian Titans will clash with each other and it’s fair to say that Virat Kohli will yet again hold the key for his team as he has often proved that when going gets tough, tough gets going.

While talking about India vs Pakistan clash, Virat Kohli explained: “Look, I wouldn’t run away from the fact that atmosphere on the outside is very very different to any other game. But Pakistan se kisi bhi tournament mai (with Pakistan in any tournament) the game, it’s just what is created on the outside that you can’t really ignore.”

Further shedding light on India vs Pakistan game, Virat Kohli said that as a player when he steps into the field it’s like other games for him.

He added: “But as a player, as I’ve said many times when you step onto the field, it’s any other game for you. The environment on the outside can you pull you in but that’s for you to enjoy and get excited about till the time you get to the park and then it’s usual business.”

Virat Kohli is currently enjoying his time off but the hustle however doesn’t stop for him as he has been toiling hard in the gym. He will be seen in action during the Asia Cup 2023 now. He will be extremely crucial for the team in the tournament.

He was recently seen in action during the West Indies tour. He played blistering innings in two Tests matches, smashing a half-century in the first game century in the second game. He then didn’t get an opportunity to bat in the ODI series.
