Australian all-rounder Cameron Green has been the player of the tournament so far in terms of impact. Opening the batting in T20I cricket for the very first time, he struck two fifties in three games ending his series against India with 118 runs from three games striking at 214.55 and averaging nearly 40.

His cameos gave Australia two quick starts in the first and the third T20I. Australia scored 208 in the first game and are set to post another competitive total in the decider in Hyderabad. In the process, he has given Australia a bright potential for the future.

Green is not a part of Australia’s T20 World Cup squad but can be a big-money player in the upcoming IPL 2023 auction. The auction is slated to be held sometime in mid-December as per reports in Cricbuzz. To add to that, the season will be back to its home and away format. The same was said by BCCI President Sourav Ganguly recently.

“The next season of men’s IPL will also go back to the home and away format with all 10 teams playing their home matches at their designated venues,” the BCCI president said in a letter to the state units.

Meanwhile, in this article, we take a look at three teams who can target Cameron Green in IPL 2023 auction.

3 Teams Who Can Pick Cameron Green In IPL 2023 Auction

1) Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad has a good core of Indian players but do not have any reputed overseas all-rounders. Romario Shepherd is the only designated all-rounder in the squad. He was picked up for 7.75 crores in the IPL 2022 mega auction but did not make the most of his chances.

Green can be a good option for SRH who are on the lookout for a specialist all-rounder. He is a seamer all-rounder which also means that he will give them an extra option with the ball as well. This will be his very first IPL season if he makes it.

2) Chennai Super Kings

With Ravindra Jadeja parting ways with CSK, someone like Cameron Green is the perfect all-rounder to replace him. He has shown that he can open the batting and gives them more than one role with the bat.

With Dwayne Bravo also closing in on his IPL career, Green will be consistently given matches in the XI. MS Dhoni will be leading CSK for another season in IP 2023 and it will be interesting to see how he uses them if CSK does rope him in.

3) Punjab Kings

Punjab Kings is another franchise that can target him in the upcoming auction. They have one overseas all-rounder in Liam Livingstone. With Mayank Agarwal not showing too much good form in the previous IPL season, Cameron Green gives them an option as an opener. He is good enough to bat inside the top four and can give his side two overs regularly.

On a good day, he can even bowl four. Cameron Green for all the above-mentioned franchises can be an investment for the future.
