Glenn Maxwell shows a great presence of mind to time his leap to perfection

The 33-year-old saved a certain six with an acrobatic effort near the long-on boundary. On the third ball of the penultimate over, Harshal Patel took on Nathan Ellis as he slogged him towards long-on. With apt timing, the ball seemed to fly over the ropes.

However, Maxwell showed incredible agility to time his jump to perfection as he got a hand on the ball. The Aussie also showed great presence of mind to get rid of the ball when he was about to touch the ropes, in the process saving five runs for his team.

India Batting Highlights

Aussie skipper Aaron Finch won the toss and put India to bat first. The Men in Blue got two early blows as skipper Rohit Sharma and star batter Virat Kohli departed cheaply. However, KL Rahul and Suryakuamr Yadav steadied the ship for India after the initial shock.

Hardik Pandya then continued the momentum by unfurling his stylish shots as he took the Australian bowlers to the cleaners. The swashbuckling all-rounder hit every Australian bowler around the park to propel India to a staggering total of 208/6 in their 20 overs.
