Australian Cricket Team registered a clinical victory over India in the 3rd ODI match. Australia won the match by 21 runs & won the ODI Series by 2-1 after being 0-1 down. Adam Zampa was the destroyer in chief where he took 4 key wickets of Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya & Ravindra Jadeja and gave away 45 runs in his 10 overs. Adam Zampa was quite spot-on with his line & length where he didn’t give ample room to the batters.

Australia would be ecstatic with this win as India were in complete control of the run chase. It looked like Virat Kohli would take India home but a lapse of concentration gave Australia a chance in the match where he checked his shot at the long off against the bowling of Ashton Agar where Virat scored 54 runs in 72 balls and he struck 2 fours & 1 six.

Australia made a statement that they are not dependent on Mitchell Starc as the left-arm pacer had a rare off day where he gave away 67 runs in his 10 overs and was wicketless. Skipper Steve Smith kept his players in the game where he was quite animated & was seen marshalling his troops.

The decision to promote Axar Patel to the No.5 position didn’t help the Men in Blue. Aussies would be over the moon with this win as now they are the new ICC MRF ODI No.1 ranked side. We should not forget that the Aussies were without Pat Cummins (*unavailable due to personal reasons) & Josh Hazlewood (*injured) where winning a series without them says a lot about their team’s dynamics.

During the post-match presentation, Adam Zampa was asked about his performance and his terrific track record against India.

“I have had some success here. It’s a tough place to come, always a huge challenge. I try to stay in the game and be competitive. Ashton Agar changed the game. Kudos to the bowlers who bowled before me as well. We trust each other, trust our game plan. The message was to trust our process and improve on it.” said Adam Zampa.
