Ian Healy, a former Australian cricketer who is now a commentator, took a strong shot at the BCCI about pitches while announcing his forecast for the match between India and Australia less than a week before the commencement of the eagerly anticipated Border-Gavaskar Test series.
Additionally, although senior spinner R Ashwin responded to Healy’s statement with an epic response, famous India coach John Wright responded to the former player in a mouth-shutting manner.

Ian Healy Worried About Australia
In an interview with “SENQ Breakfast,” Ian Healy claimed that Australia may win the Test series if India produces “fair wickets,” but that they would lose under “unfair” circumstances.
“I think if they produce fair Indian wickets, that are good batting wickets, to start with, (that) probably spin and spin pretty consistently but spin a long way, late in the match … we (Australia) win.
“I’m worried about (Mitchell) Starc and (Nathan) Lyon in the first Test … if they’re unfair wickets which I’ve seen in the last series, where balls were jumping ridiculously and sliding down low from day one, I think India play those conditions better than us,” Ian Healy said.

Home Teams Can Produce Pitches To Suit Their Own Team: John Wright
Ian Healy’s comment prompted Wright to respond on Twitter, saying that home nations have the freedom to develop pitches that are best suited for them and that there was nothing “unfair” about it.
“Countries playing at home are entitled to produce pitches to suit their own team. That’s not unfair it’s what makes Test cricket great #INDvsAUS #ianhealy,” Wright tweeted.

In Nagpur, the Border-Gavaskar Test series will start on February 9. Both sides will be focused on winning the World Test Championship final at any cost. Australia now leads the points table and is in a good position, but if they lose by a score of 4-0, they might drop to third and lose their opportunity to go to the final.
India, who is now third in the standings, would need to win at least three games to ensure their place in the championship game.
