As Team India battled it out on day two of the Test match against their opponents, Ravindra Jadeja brought a moment of levity to the intense proceedings. In an incident that left fans and fellow players amused, the all-rounder playfully poked umpire Nitin Menon twice as the Indian team discussed taking the second new ball.

Ravindra Jadeja’s impish behaviour managed to momentarily distract Menon from the task at hand, as the umpire moved away from the all-rounder before rejoining the discussion with the Indian players. Although the incident was brief, it quickly made waves on social media, with fans and cricket enthusiasts alike praising Ravindra Jadeja’s humour and quick wit.

The incident also provided a much-needed respite for Team India, who were facing a tough challenge on the field. With their opponents putting up a solid performance, India’s players were under pressure to deliver a strong performance, and the lighthearted moment helped to ease some of the tension.

Ravindra Jadeja’s playful behaviour is not uncommon, as the all-rounder has often been known to add humour and fun to the game. His antics on the field have endeared him to fans across the world, and he has become one of the most popular players in the Indian team.

The tourists dominated the fourth Test match between Australia and India at the Narendra Modi Stadium for the second day in a row. Australia have put on a good batting performance in the current match, buoyed by their victory in the last Test in Indore.

After winning the toss, the visitors completely justified their choice to bat first. Australia had amassed 480 runs in their first innings, thanks in large part to Usman Khawaja’s epic 180-run effort that lasted for nearly two days. Cameron Green, an all-rounder, has excelled at the plate as well. He scored his first Test century and helped Australia win with a 200-plus run partnership with Khawaja.

India’s innings has started out steadily in the meanwhile. The hosts had 36 for no loss after ten overs at the end of the day’s play. Team India will be fervently hoping to win the current match in order to not only win the series but also secure a place in the World Test Championship final.
