Sri Lanka will battle against Australia in a T20I series at home. The SL vs AUS 1st T20I clash is set to take place on June 7 (Tuesday). The venue of the match is R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Two more T20I matches will be played during Australia’s tour of Sri Lanka 2022.

Sri Lanka is led by Dasun Shanaka in SL vs AUS T20I series. Australia is led by Aaron Finch. In the previous T20I series between both the teams earlier in February, Australia defeated Sri Lanka 4-1 in the 5-match series. Kusal Mendis might be the other opener for the team in SL vs AUS 1st T20I. The right-handed batter scored 100 runs in 3 games in the last T20I series against Australia in February. He averaged 50.0 in three games and also smacked 1 fifty in the series.

Bhanuka Rajapaksa (WK)

Bhunuka Rajapaksa might be the no.3 batter and wicketkeeper for Sri Lanka in the opening game. The left-handed batsman had a good run in IPL 2022 recently. Danushka Gunathilaka might be another middle-order batsman for the team. Gunathilaka was part of the team during the Australia tour. In 4 T20I games, the left-handed batter scored 27 runs. He will look to come up with a better show against the Aussies this time.
