Most Wickets in Big Bash League (BBL)
The Big Bash League is now more than a decade old. Cricket Australia started the competition in 2011 with eight city-based teams. The BBL replaced the old KFC T20 Big Bash in which six state teams participated. The eight teams participating in the BBL are - Adelaide Strikers, Brisbane Heat, Hobart Hurricanes, Melbourne Renegades, Melbourne Stars, Perth Scorchers, Sydney Sixers and Sydney Thunder.
Out of the eight teams in the tournament, six have won the title at least once. The two teams that are yet to win the title even once are Melbourne Stars and Hobart Hurricanes. The Perth Scorchers are the most successful team in the league's history, having won the title five times including consecutively for two years twice.
Sydney Sixers, who are the inaugural winners of the competition, have won the BBL thrice. The other four teams that have won the title are the Adelaide Strikers, Melbourne Renegades, Brisbane Heat and Sydney Thunder.
