The Chandigarh cricket team represents the union territory of Chandigarh in Indian domestic cricket tournaments. The team is governed by the Union Territory Cricket Association (UTCA) and plays its home games at the Sector 16 Stadium in Chandigarh. Since 2019, the team has been playing in the Ranji Trophy, Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
While the Chandigarh Cricket Team was formed in the year 1981, it could not play Ranji Trophy until 2019-20 season. In 2019, the UTCA finally got the affiliation from the BCCI to run the cricket affairs in Chandigarh. As a result, the Chandigarh cricket team also got the green light to play in India's domestic cricket competitions.
In December 2019, Chandigarh made their debut in the Ranji Trophy in the Plate Division. In their debut first-class game, Chandigarh thrashed Arunachal Pradesh by an innings and 173 runs. They went on to win three more games and all of them by an innings to announce their arrival in domestic circuit in style.
They finished third in the Plate Group with 4 wins from 9 games. In 2021-22 Ranji Trophy, Chandigarh were in Elite Group B and finished at the bottom of their group after managing just one point from three games.
Their performance in 2022-23 season was not impressive either. Competing in Elite Group D, Chandigarh finished at the bottom of the points table after managing just seven points from seven games.
