IND vs AUS Today Match Prediction- 3rd ODI, Who Will Win Today’s ODI Match? 2023. The IND vs AUS 3rd ODI will be played in Rajkot on September 26. The match starts at 1.30 pm IST and is the final ODI of the series before the two teams meet in the World Cup. India have won the series and will be looking for a clean sweep. Australia will be looking for a consolation win and not conceding another series loss.
Heading into the third ODI, there will be a lot of changes to the squads of the two teams. Both teams should look to field their best XI, keeping their best combinations in mind for the World Cup. There are injury concerns in both camps and it will be interesting to see how they cover it up.
Australia benched both Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc in the second ODI. Starc has reportedly recovered from his groin injury after spending a lot of time on recovery. Cummins missing the second ODI was more of him being rested.
The trio of Cummins, Starc, and Josh Hazlewood should lead the pace attack for Australia in the third ODI and the World Cup. Mitchell Marsh too was rested and should be back for the third ODI as should be Marcus Stoinis.
There are injury concerns on Glenn Maxwell who missed the first two games due to ankle injury. It will be interesting to see if he makes it to the XI in the final ODI as he is a part of their World Cup plans. Meanwhile, Travis Head has been ruled out of the first half of the World Cup due to a hand fracture as per reports.
For India, the likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohd Siraj, and Jasprit Bumrah will return to the playing XI for the final ODI. Seven players namely Shubman Gill, Shardul Thakur, Tilak Varma, Prasidh Krishna, Mukesh Kumar Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Axar Patel will not be a part of the third ODI.
While Gill and Thakur have been rested, Axar has not yet recovered from his injury. The others were a part of the squad for the first two ODIs. Axar’s absence means that R Ashwin will get another game after he bowled an impressive spell of 3/41 in the second ODI.
