Following India’s Asia Cup 2025 triumph, players like Hardik Pandya and Varun Chakravarthy took digs at Pakistan and PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi. The Indian team mimicked Pakistani celebrations, sent cheeky messages, and posted pictures holding a mock trophy at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

India beat Pakistan by five wickets in the Asia Cup 2025 final clash in Dubai on Sunday, September 28. The Men in Blue finished the competition unbeaten and clinched the trophy. Notably, the Suryakumar Yadav-led team had already defeated Pakistan in both the group stage and Super Four stage matches.

The unusual situation sparked humorous social media posts and fake trophy memes, as the team celebrated their victory while mocking Pakistan’s on-field celebrations.

Kuldeep Yadav, Abhishek Sharma, and Tilak Varma received their individual awards from other dignitaries, while Pakistan captain Salman Yadav accepted the runners-up cheque from Naqvi.

BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia later confirmed that India’s decision to refuse the trophy from Naqvi was due to his political position. Saikia noted the lack of interaction between the Indian players and the ACC chairman during the ceremony.

Hardik Pandya Recreates Iconic T20 World Cup Celebration, Highlights 3-0 Victory

Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya recreated his iconic T20 World Cup celebration on social media following India’s Asia Cup 2025 triumph. However, Pandya used a cup emoji in place of the actual trophy to mark the victory.

The 31-year-old also trolled Pakistan with a 3-0 gesture on his Instagram post, signaling that India had defeated Pakistan three times in the Asia Cup 2025. It is worth mentioning that Hardik was not part of the playing XI for the final match due to a niggle.

Hardik bowled just one over against Sri Lanka. He left the field holding his hamstring and did not return for the rest of the match. Throughout the tournament, he took four wickets in six matches at an average of 8.57 and scored 48 runs at an average of 120, including 38 off 29 balls against Bangladesh.

Akkha Duniya Ek Taraf, Aur Mera INDIA Ek Taraf - Varun Chakravarthy

Mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy did not hold back in celebrating India’s Asia Cup 2025 win. He shared a team photograph from the final and wrote, “Akkha duniya ek taraf, aur mera INDIA ek taraf.” He was trolling Pakistan through his social media post.

The Tamil Nadu-born cricketer also shared a picture of himself with a teacup on the board. Notably, Varun had also posted a picture of himself sipping coffee with the Champions Trophy in hand after India’s thrilling four-wicket victory over New Zealand in the final.

This witty response appeared to target not only critics but also Pakistan leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed, who had posted a picture of himself with a cup of tea in hand, captioned, “Last cup of fantastic evening tea,” while mocking Indian Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman.
