India is set to play three One day internationals after the England T20 series gets over and a few of the new faces have been included to give an opportunity. The players have been given opportunities on basis of their recent domestic performances in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Prithvi Shaw and Devdutt Padikkal will feel unlucky to have missed out on a spot due to a lot of openers in the Indian squad already while Krunal Pandya and Prasidh Krishna have made the cut into the Indian ODI squad for the first time. Suryakumar Yadav has been rewarded as well for his T20 performance with a place in the ODI squad. Here are 3 Indian players that team India will miss in the ODIs against England.

Jasprit Bumrah has been the standout bowler for India in the limited-overs setup for a long time now and his services will be missed certainly. He has been lethal in the test series against Australia and England recently and is now on a break from international cricket due to his recent marriage.

He got married to Sports presenter Sanjana Ganesan on Monday in Goa and shared the pictures on Twitter. He has led the pace attack for India in all the formats and this will also be a much-needed rest for him with the tight schedule coming up this year. He will play in the IPL for the Mumbai Indians and will follow it up with the World Test Championship Finals in June.

Mohammad Shami:

Mohammad Shami has been excellent over the years with the new ball and his seam position is one of the best going around in the world. He has formed a potent trio of bowling alongside Ishant Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah and looks set for a long career with the team setup backing him.

He is a wicket-taking bowler always and can surprise the batsman with the amount of pace he can generate from the track. He has been in good form in the limited-overs series in Australia and he would be an integral part of the T20 WorldCup in October. He had a good IPL last year and will be looking to continue the form into the IPL 2021 as well.

Ravindra Jadeja:

Ravindra Jadeja has been excellent with the bat for India in all formats in the last two to three years and his number tells the story. His improvement with the bat has allowed India to bat Hardik Pandya to come in at six and to play with six bowlers in the side. He can be a great finisher at seven and showed his abilities in the previous limited-overs tour.

India will certainly miss him in the ODI series against England for his all-around abilities and to add to that, he is an excellent fielder too. He has managed to produce a lot of direct hits and he can bowl economically too firing in the overs at good speeds. He has not recovered from the injury he suffered in Australia and India has picked up Krunal Pandya as a like-for-like replacement in the ODI series.
