The craze of the Indian Premier League among fans is so high that every international cricketer wants to be part of the tournament.

Chris Gayle- 106 Runs (2012 Season)

Chris Gayle takes the 4th spot in this list. In IPL 2012, the West Indies player smacked 106 runs with boundaries in a match against Delhi Capitals (then Delhi Daredevils) while representing Royal Challengers Bangalore. In the match, Chris Gayle shattered unbeaten 128 runs off 62 balls smashing 7 boundaries and 13 sixes.

With his knock, RCB reached 215-1 on the scoreboard batting first. Later, Delhi Capitals lost the match by 21 runs after reaching 194-9 in 2nd innings.

AB de Villiers- 112 Runs (2016  Season)

Ab de Villiers grabs the 2nd spot in this list. In the 2016 season, the South African southpaw smashed 112 runs with boundaries in a single inning. In an encounter against Gujarat Lions, the RCB wicketkeeper-batsman smashed unbeaten 129 runs off just 52 deliveries.

During his fabulous knock, de Villiers smacked 10 fours and 12 sixes. RCB reached a mammoth total of 248-3 in the 1st innings. Notably, Virat Kohli (109) also smashed a century in the match. Later, Gujarat Lions lost the match by 144 runs after getting bowled out for just 104 runs.

Brendon McCullum- 118 Runs (2008 Season)

Who can forget the marvelous knock of Brendon McCullum in the first-ever IPL match in 2008 season? The former New Zealand skipper McCullum smacked 158 runs for Kolkata Knight Riders in the match against Royal Challengers in the first-ever IPL game.

With 10 fours and 13 sixes, the right-handed batsman shattered 118 runs with just boundaries. McCullum’s impeccable knock took KKR to 222-3 in the match. Later, Royal Challengers Bangalore were bowled out for just 82 and lost the match by 140 runs.

Chris Gayle- 154 Runs (2013 Season)

Chris Gayle steals the top spot in this list. In IPL 2013 season, Royal Challengers Bangalore opener Gayle smacked the tournament’s highest-ever knock of 175 runs off just 66 balls in an encounter against Pune Warriors. During his knock, the left-handed batsman shattered 13 fours and 17 sixes, thereby smashing 154 runs with just boundaries.

With Gayle’s knock, RCB reached 263-5 in the 1st innings which is still the highest total by a team in the tournament. Later, Pune Warriors could reach only 133-9 in 20 overs and lost the match by a huge margin of 130 runs.
