Since the last year, Covid-19 has created huge trouble for people all over the world. Corona Virus Disease or Covid-19 is a viral disease that originated in China in 2019 and affected all the other countries. The deadly disease has killed more than 27 lakh people all around the world so far. Cricket has also been affected a lot by the Covid-19. Cricket was stalled for many months all over the world in 2020 and it only started when the situation improved. However, spectators in stadiums are still not allowed in a lot of matches due to Covid-19 concerns.

Pakistan Super League 2021 was also affected by Covid-19 and the tournament had to be shut down with immediate effect after few players were affected by the disease. Deepak Chahar

In August last year, Deepak Chahar was tested positive for Covid-19. Deepak Chahar is Chennai Super Kings’ bowler and he was affected by Covid-19 ahead of IPL 2020. Deepak Chahar was in UAE along with the Chennai Super Kings squad at that time. Deepak Chahar underwent successful treatment and recovered in time to play the tournament, which started in September 2020.

Ruturaj Gaikwad

Ruturaj Gaikwad was another player who was affected by Covid-19 along with Deepak Chahar. He was also found Covid-19 positive in Dubai and was sent under quarantine. The Maharashtra cricketer also recovered in time and returned to the team. He also played 4 matches in IPL 2020 for Chennai Super Kings. It was his debut IPL tournament.

Chetan Chauhan

Late Indian cricketer Chetan Chauhan, who died in August last year, was also affected by Covid-19. Chetan Chauhan had tested positive for Covid-19 in August last year and he was admitted to the hospital. However, he died due to Covid complications. He suffered multiple organ failures and took his last breath in the hospital.

Karun Nair

Karun Nair is another Indian cricketer who was affected by Covid-19. Ahead of his departure for IPL 2020 to UAE, Karun Nair was tested positive for Covid-19. He was going to play for Kings XI Punjab in IPL 2020. After he was tested positive, he went under treatment and 2 weeks quarantine. Karun Nair recovered well and went on to play in IPL 2020.

Sachin Tendulkar

Sachin Tendulkar is the latest cricketer to test positive for Covid-19. The master blaster recently took part in Road Safety World Series T20 2020-21 where India defeated Sri Lanka in the final. On Saturday, Sachin Tendulkar took to Twitter to inform everyone that he has tested positive for Covid-19 and undergoing treatment for the same. Sachin tweeted that he has tested positive for Covid-19 with mild symptoms and he has quarantined himself at home. He is taking all the necessary protocols as advised by doctors.
