India began their Asia Cup campaign with a historic win after Kuldeep Yadav and Shivam Dube paired up to hand the UAE their most humiliating collapse in the history of cricket: 8 wickets for just 10 runs on the board.

The much-awaited Asia Cup 2025 has begun with India taking on the UAE in the second game of the season. The Indian skipper broke the toss jinx and opted to bowl on the Dubai track. This is the same ground where India won an ICC tournament six months back in February 2025.

Under Suryakumar Yadav's leadership and Jasprit Bumrah's return, India looked charged up and decked out to make a promising start to their campaign.

UAE lost 8 wickets within 10 runs; Historic Collapse disappoints hosts

The initial carnage began with Bumrah's yorker doing the trick in the fourth over of the game, while Chakravarthy followed with another wicket within the powerplay. However, Kuldeep Yadav was the showman for India.

Kuldeep runs a rampage through the UAE innings, as he dismisses three batters in his second over of the spell. Kuldeep was seen at his very first after making his long-awaited T20I return for India.

Kuldeep Yadav lined up with wickets, cleaning the middle order, while Shivam Dube, the third seamer in the side due to the absence of Arshdeep Singh, was then handed the ball in the 10th over of the game.

Dube bowled a genuine outswinger that took the batter's edge, and Samson caught it sharply behind the stumps. With Kuldeep's 4/7 and Dube's 3/4, UAE lost their 8 wickets in no time, collapsing within 8 overs after the powerplay.
