Former Indian batsman Aakash Chopra praised the Mumbai batsman Suryakumar Yadav for knocking the doors of the selectors consistently and for finally breaking into the Indian T20 side. Suryakumar Yadav’s name has been popping up every time when the selectors announce the Indian limited-overs squad but hasn’t been able to make a cut into the Indian squad and now he will be relieved about his selection.

Suryakumar Yadav was made to wait for a long time as he had been a consistent performer for Mumbai Indians in the IPL for years now. He uses his hands beautifully and can hit the big shots at will making a strong case for him in the middle order for India. He will be hoping to make use of the opportunity and stay in the Indian squad for the T20 World Cup in October.

“His Bat Did The Talking” –  Aakash Chopra

Aakash Chopra praised Suryakumar Yadav for waiting patiently and doing a lot of hard work all these days. He mentioned that Yadav let his bat do the talking and scored runs consistently to get his name in the Indian squad. He added that Yadav will get his opportunity in the lineup and expects him to do well if he starts. The 30-year-old will be joining the squad for the 5 match T20 series against England

“It took a while but his name came at last. He’s done a lot of hard work, scored lots of runs. In the end, his bat did the talking and I’m very happy for him. Hopefully, he’ll get an opportunity play and do well,” Aakash Chopra said in a video on his YouTube channel.

Aakash Chopra Happy To See Rahul Tewatia In The Mix

Rahul Tewatia was recently named in the Indian T20 squad and has earned his maiden call-up after putting up some good performances in the IPL 2020. Aakash Chopra was happy to see the left-hander in the squads as Tewatia can bowl his leg spinners and can be a useful finisher down the order at 7. Rahul Tewatia scored 255 runs and picked up 10 wickets in last year’s IPL.

“It’s great to see Rahul Tewatia also in the mix. Brings two skills to the table. Can bowl leg-spin and hit the big sixes. That’s something is very good about him,” Aakash Chopra added.
