Ashraf, who came in at number 8, changed the game after being dropped on 7 by Max O’Dowd early in the 19th over. With Pakistan requiring 29 runs from the final two overs, he launched a counterattack against Logan van Beek. However, his catch was dismissed on the second ball.

Faheem made the most of the dropped catch and smashed two sixes and a four in the remaining four balls. Pakistan took 24 runs from that over, bringing the equation down to just 5 runs from the last six balls. The Men in Green reached 148 for 7 in 19.3 overs, winning by three wickets with three balls to spare.

Pakistan Bowlers Trigger Late Collapse to Restrict Netherlands to 147

Earlier in the match, Pakistan kept the Netherlands under control after asking them to bat first. The Dutch made a bright start but could not maintain momentum as wickets fell regularly in the second half of the innings.

The Netherlands reached 50 for 2 at the end of the powerplay and were 79 for 3 at the halfway mark. They crossed 100 runs in 12.1 overs with seven wickets in hand and looked set for a bigger total before Scott Edwards (37 off 29 balls) and Bas de Leede (30 off 25) were dismissed in quick succession.

Pakistan reduced the Netherlands to 129 for 7 by the 17th over. The Dutch then collapsed badly, losing their last six wickets for just 23 runs. Salman Mirza picked up three wickets for 24 runs, while Mohammad Nawaz, Abrar Ahmed, and Saim Ayub claimed two wickets each.
