Abdur Razzaq Sees Glimpses of Wasim Akram In Mohammad Amir

Razzaq had urged the players to take up test cricket with more importance rather than holding up with limited-overs cricket. He praised Amir as a very talented bowler and wanted him to play all formats for Pakistan. He compared Amir to one of the greats like Wasim Akram and concluded that great players are made through test cricket priority.

“He [Amir] is an extremely talented bowler and you could see glimpses of Wasim Akram in him. It would be haven great for Pakistan cricket if he consistently played and performed for Pakistan. This

[Amir’s retirement] is a major setback, both, for him and Pakistan cricket,” said Abdul Razzaq.

“Players who give priority to T20s over Test cricket will never go on to become great players,” he added.
