My Job is To Score Runs And Runs - Abhimanyu Easwaran
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Abhimanyu Easwaran said that he is ready to give his best if given the opportunity with the Indian team. Easwaran said that he always tries to keep on improving his skills, get fitter, and work on his game. He said that playing for India is a dream for many cricketers.
The 29-year-old has been on the verge of making his international debut but has not achieved that dream. Easwaran was a standby player for the 2021-22 Test series against England and the WTC final in 2021. He was a replacement for Rohit Sharma in the Test series against Bangladesh in December 2022.
However, Yashasvi Jaiswal was the preferred opening partner for skipper Rohit Sharma. The opener made his first-class debut in 2013. He has scored 7,506 runs at an average of 49.38, including 26 centuries and 29 fifties. The batter had an average of 168.50 in three innings in the Ranji Trophy 2023-24.
