India vs Afghanistan 2nd T20I match has concluded, as the Men in Blue won the match by 7 wickets and also won the three-match series. After the match, there have been changes in the ICC Men's T20I Player Rankings. Abhishek Sharma saw a change in his position after playing two brilliant knocks in the first two games of the series.

India won the game at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi, as the two games had similar results winning by 7 wickets in both games. This marked the second back-to-back series win for Shreyas Iyer; he also had a change in his batting rankings. Apart from Abhishek Sharma, there have been changes in the top 10 as well, as England and Sri Lanka are also playing in the five-match T20I series.

Abhishek Sharma dethrones Sahibzada Farhan

Abhishek Sharma moved one place up to 2nd position, replacing Pakistan National Cricket Team opener Sahibzada Farhan. Abhishek Sharma now has 862 points, while Farhan has slipped to 3rd with 848 points. Abhishek Sharma had been brilliant in the first two games against Afghanistan, as he played a blistering knock of 82 runs, and in the second match he scored 39 off 19.

Sanju Samson is another player to make ground this week after he jumped four places to 30th on the back of his amazing 57-run knock in the second match.

Shreyas Iyer slips down six places; Jos Buttler rises one spot

Shreyas Iyer, who did not have much to do with the bat in the series against the Afghans, saw a drop of six places to 29th in the T20I rankings. The India skipper had scored 8* and, in the second game, 11 runs. Thus, he had a drop, he would look for some runs in the third game.

England wicket-keeper batter Jos Buttler also had a change in the batting rankings as the former England captain moved one place up to 7th position after his amazing knock of 80 runs off 44 deliveries against Sri Lanka, replacing India batter Tilak Varma, who has slipped down to 8th position.

There has been a change in the T20I bowling rankings, as Varun Chakaravarthy, who has been ruled out of the series, moved up two slots and entered the top 5 of the rankings. Speedster Jasprit Bumrah, who has been in brilliant form since his comeback, also moved up seven ranks and is now 10th in the bowling rankings.

Arshdeep Singh also moved up 11 spots to 14th, and Axar Patel also moved up six places to 27th, all making ground following some decent efforts across the first two games of the Afghanistan series.
