Indian cricketer Abhishek Sharma's sister has been criticized for liking a social media post slamming his fellow opener Shubman Gill and praising the hype around the Indian left-handed batter. This came after Abhishek Sharma's stunning knock at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Though other Indian batters could not perform convincingly well in their T20I series against Australia, Abhishek Sharma looked promising with the bat. He scored 140+ runs with a stunning 68 that came at the MCG in the second T20I against the Aussies.

A video was seen on Instagram that blasted Shubman Gill and Harshit Rana, and praised Abhishek Sharma for his fearless batting, unbothered by the conditions of the pitch.
"The only player who didn't care about tough pitches was Abhishek Sharma. When we were reduced to 40/4 in the power play, Abhishek Sharma was still smacking the ball out of the stadium."

The difference was laid out in front of us. Abhishek Sharma opened the innings, played till 18.3 overs and faced just 37 deliveries, while Harshit Rana came down to bat at no. 7 and batted till 15.2 overs and faced 33 balls.
"There lay the real struggle in coaching and captaincy. They should have imparted a clear message that Abhishek should have been given more of the strike, but this team wants only that player to score runs who is on good terms with the coach," a direct dig at Rana was diverted over to Gautam Gambhir and Suryakumar Yadav as well. The coach and captain were also not relieved from facing the heat.

A Twitter user recently identified that Abhishek Sharma's sister, Komal Sharma, liked an Instagram post that praised her brother but shamed the likes of Shubman Gill and Harshit Rana as well. The video also had a direct attack on the Indian head coach and the skipper.

Yashasvi Jaiswal has repeatedly been in the mix-up for the T20I spot
India have constantly kept Yashasvi Jaiswal in the mix of things; however, Shubman Gill was handed the opening role as well as the vice-captaincy of the team. It was also considered that Gill would someday replace Suryakumar Yadav as India's next skipper.
Yashasvi Jaiswal, known for his explosiveness at the top of the order, will be devastating if paired alongside Abhishek Sharma, who is an equally aggressive batter. The pair should be brought in, citing the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup.
