Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has lauded Indian wicketkeeper-batsman, Rishabh Pant after the latter hit a sensational reverse lap to Jofra Archer. The England Cricket Team took on India in the first T20I of the five-match series as they won the toss and elected to field first.

The Indian team went ahead in the match with resting Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav in the first game. Rohit Sharma has been rested for the first two games informed Virat Kohli as he lost the toss and stated that he too would have loved to win the toss and field first. Shreyas Iyer was also included in the side as Suryakumar was left out.

Yuvraj Singh Lauds Rishabh Pant For His Miraculous Reverse Lap

The visitors were in command of the game right from the first go as they came down hard on the Indian batsmen. First up, KL Rahul was dismissed by Jofra Archer as he went after a wide delivery and inside-edged the ball on his stumps. Virat Kohli also fell down early as he was sent back to the pavilion by Adil Rashid.

However, Rishabh Pant looked on to carry his Test form in the T20I as he looked in great shape from the very moment he stepped on the crease. Rishabh Pant came up with yet another outrageous reverse lap to Jofra Archer as he smoked him for a six in the fourth over of the game.

Yuvraj Singh was mighty impressed with the shot as he took to Twitter and lauded the Indian young wicketkeeper-batsman. He took to Twitter and wrote, This is the new generation !! Absolutely fearless ! Reverse sweep or shot I don’t know what to call it ! But @RishabhPant17 hats off to you to hit a fast bowler like that ! Game on !!”

Team India In All Sorts Of Worries

The Indian Cricket Team were in all sorts of troubles right from the first go as they lost three wickets early in the innings. First up, KL Rahul departed playing a very poor shot as he was bowled by Jofra Archer. Virat Kohli followed him back to the pavilion as he was caught by Chris Jordan off Adil Rashid.

Shikhar Dhawan then departed soon as he was bowled by Mark Wood. Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer provided some solidity to the hosts as they look to stitch a giant partnership for the hosts.
